ACCOUNTANT I

Kokua Kalihi Valley Comprehensive Family Services is seeking an Accountant I to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the entire finance function, a passion for detail, as well as excellent computer and communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties of the Accountant I

· Monitors Federal, State and Local grant expenditures in the most efficient manner.

· Produce timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

· Analyzed and reconcile monthly transactions to ensure that the funds are expended properly and in compliance with contract requirements and budgets.

· Developing expense allocation formulas for corporations and various programs.

· Assists any financial related question to accounting department.

· Provides finance and accounting-related decision-making support for assigned Project Coordinators

· Develops budgets and expenditure, and other reports at both the grant and program level, as requested; creates consolidated reports and tracking systems at the program level to assist Project Coordinators with fund management and projection.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills of Accountant Applicants

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business-related field and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

· At least two years' working experience as an accountant.
