Job Description

Psyc​h-MH APRN part-time to full-time, negotiable shifts, for a minimum of 3-month commitment with opportunity to extend.

  • This candidate will be primarily responsible for psychiatry services and reports directly to the Medical Director.
  • Must be available to report in person/at facility (no remote work available).

Pay

$71.93 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Psych MH APRN works with the treatment team to deliver care to patients
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders
  • Patient population: Adults; dual diagnosis, mental health, substance abuse
  • Provide follow up psychiatric care to individual case load: improve patient mental health outcomes, medication management, address comprehensive mental healthcare needs
  • Team-based integrated care: coordination with MH Staff to integrate psychiatry & counseling
  • Thematic focus on patient experience: optimizing for safety, patient satisfaction and access to care
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, and evaluate treatment results
  • Perform problem-focused, individualized medical assessments within psychiatric parameters
  • Be physically on-site at assigned correctional facility(s) on a regular basis
  • Examine patients as needed. The expectation is that you stay on-site until all patients that need to be seen are seen.
  • Prescribe medication (including narcotics) and treatment within your prescriptive authority, as appropriate in your professional medical judgement
  • Review patient medical records, as appropriate
  • Sign off on orders, as appropriate
  • Comply with the correctional facility's policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Current HI APRN & RN License with Prescriptive Authority in Good Standing
  • Psych-MH APRN Board Certification
  • BLS Certification, Hands on Training
  • Active DEA Registration and State Controlled Substance Registration
  • Experience in a primary care specialty, corrections, and/or managed health care delivery
  • Experienced and comfortable performing telehealth services
