Geotechnical Engineer (GEOENG)#MAUI_INDEEDA well-established firm based in Maui is seeking talented Geotechnical Engineers to join their team on a permanent basis. We welcome applications from both experienced professionals and recent graduates with a Master's or Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering. Our client is dedicated to providing high-quality geotechnical services and is looking for individuals who are eager to contribute to thier projects and grow their careers in a dynamic environment. Hours
Full-time, Monday-Friday 7:30am-3:30pm
Location
- Kahului, Maui
- Wailuku, Maui
- Lahaina, Maui
- Kihei, Maui
Pay
$30 to $40 an hour, Based on Experience (flexible)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with various disciplines to ensure project success.
- Manage both the financial and technical aspects of projects efficiently.
- Plan and supervise soil exploration, logging, and classification activities.
- Conduct field and laboratory soil tests as required.
- Schedule and oversee laboratory testing to evaluate soil types, behavior, and engineering properties.
- Lead and manage engineering technicians and inspectors.
- Supervise and direct drilling crew operations.
- Prepare comprehensive geotechnical engineering site investigation reports.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with specific coursework in Geotechnical engineering.
- Master's or Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Geotechnical engineering preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong mathematical abilities required.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Valid driving license with a clean abstract.
- Pre-employment drug test and State and Federal Background check required.
