Job Description

Our client is looking for a Mail and Payment Processing Clerk on a part time temporary basis for a minimum of 6 months. In this role you will handle mail, assist with payment processing, and answer phone calls.

Pay

$21 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Process incoming payments and accurately record them in the financial system.
  • Verify and reconcile payment discrepancies and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Maintain and update payment records, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth payment processing.
  • Prepare and distribute payment reports as needed.
  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding payment status and discrepancies.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in payment processing or a similar clerical role.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in using payment processing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and State and Federal background check.
