Brewery Tour Guide - Kona

Kona Brewing Hawaii has an immediate opening for a Part Time or Full Time Brewery Tour Guide & Tasting Room Bartender in Kailua Kona.  This position reports to the General Manager.  

Job Summary

This position is responsible for extending hospitality, providing an educational and enjoyable brewery tour for our customers and guests by providing accurate information relative to beer and brewing operations.  

Brewery Tour Guide 

Specific job duties include:

Ability to multi-task in a high energy environment

Ability to offer excellent customer service on a consistent basis

Interfaces with the public and provides accurate information relative to beer and brewing operations

Maintains the cleanliness of the Brewery tour space and tour shuttle 
Responsible for offering beer tastings to guests in alignment with liquor rules and regulations
Processes merch sales and supports inventory  

Tasting Room Bartender serving up Liquid Aloha and creating a welcoming, knowledgeable experience for our guests.
Key responsibilities include:
Pour and Serve - provide guests with flights, pints and other beer offerings with exceptional service. 
Beer Knowledge - Be well versed in our beer lineup, including styles, flavors, ingredients & brewing process. 
Guest Engagement - Educate guests about our beers, make recommendations and enhance their experience. 
Maintain Cleanliness & Organization - Endure the bar area is clean, well stocked and running smoothly. 
Follow Responsible Serving Practices - Check ID's, monitor alcohol consumption and serve responsibly.  

Position Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Attendance required per company policy
Must have a valid drivers licence and clean drivers abstact
Must be able to hold a valid liquor card
Safely transport guests in company passenger vehicle to and from the Growler Shack/Brewery

Perform assignments in a safe manner

Ability to work under pressure and maintain a professional demeanor

Ability to work various hours and days, such as evenings, weekends and holidays

Must be able to communicate effectively

Have a fundamental knowledge of beer and the beer manufacturing process
Continued learning and keeping up to date with evolving tour guide script
Process sales of merchandise, tour tickets, and beer tastings

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to stand for long periods of time

Works well independently and cooperatively in a team environment

Excellent communication skills

Must have a friendly and outgoing demeanor

Dependable Adaptable / flexible

Knowledge of POS systems a plus
