We are seeking a customer-focused and results-driven Universal Banker I/II to join our dynamic team. Universal Bankers perform a variety of sales, servicing, and operational functions within the branch while managing an assigned portfolio of High-Value Clients (HVC). Key Responsibilities:

  • Open and service consumer and business deposit products, as well as secured and unsecured consumer loans and personal lines of credit.
  • Manage and retain relationships within a portfolio of HVC customers.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate bank products and services.
  • Refer customers to specialists for additional financial solutions.
  • Meet or exceed individual and branch goals for sales, cross-sales, and referrals.
  • Participate in branch and bank-wide campaigns.
  • Perform branch operational tasks, including cash handling, processing transactions, and managing vault duties.
  • Ensure compliance with all operational policies and procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service aligned with our Core Values of "Voyaging Spirit" and being "Positively Ohana."

Qualifications:


Education:

  • Universal Banker I: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Universal Banker II: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement.

Experience:

  • Universal Banker I:
    • 1+ year of sales and customer service experience.
    • 1+ year of branch operations experience or successful completion of teller and new account certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Universal Banker II:
    • 2+ years of branch/bank operations experience with retail financial product sales.
    • 1+ year of experience with credit product applications and closings.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong sales and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial statements and tax returns.
  • Proficiency in banking systems and applications.
  • Commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to move and lift items up to 20lbs and perform other light physical work.
  • Must be able to operate standard office equipment, including phone, personal computer, copier, etc.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers.
  • Must also be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions.
  • Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents.
  • Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time.
  • Must also be able to adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job.
