Job Summary
Under the direction of Ka Hale A Ke Ola (KHAKO) Executive Director, this position will assist participants with supportive monitoring; offer resources and referrals to help participants progress toward goals; provide oversight of the physical premises to ensure security and safety; document pertinent information in reports and case notes; and collaborate with staff members and medical partners to provide comprehensive care to participants. NOTE: The work week is 40 hours working Thursday through Monday, 10am to 6pm, and is on property.

Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Provide general oversight of respite units to ensure security of the premises, provide supervision and guidance for participants as needed, and orientate new participants as they entire the facility.
- Adhere to ethical standards and professional conduct, maintain confidentiality of patient information, and demonstrate respect for participants and colleagues.
- Create, update, and complete case notes, submit incident reports to managers as needed, and prepare reports for all KHAKO and medical partners.
- Oversee the cleanliness of units by performing weekly unit inspections for cleanliness and damages to the unit.
- Enforce rules and regulations dictated by the organization and settle disputes.
- Ensure all participants attend doctor appointments and schedule transportation as needed.
- Identify signs of participants’ potential harm to self or others and address these accordingly.
- Consult with social workers from Maui Memorial Medical Center and other participating agencies as appropriate.
- Prepares daily and weekly written records, incident reports and discontinuation of services as required.
- Collaborate with other staff members to provide comprehensive care to patients and participate in team meetings.

- To interpret rules and procedures to participants having various levels of comprehension and competence
- The ability to be trained in the use of First Aid and CPR and performs those skills as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Must have High School diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of progression, work experience in health, human services, and/or housing
- Work experience in counseling, social work, or group home desirable.
